How much time do you have? Because the largest Lego set ever has arrived, containing over 12,000 pieces.
The Danish toy maker is launching a model of Antoni Gaudí’s Sagrada Familia, a 12,060-piece set, for $800. Legault said on Thursday advertisement It is the largest collection ever released. The closest one, which is still accessible, is the Eiffel Tower, which has more than 10,000 pieces.
Gaudí, the influential Catalan architect, died 100 years ago this month, and Barcelona’s unfinished Sagrada Familia cathedral is considered a masterpiece. The Sagrada Familia collection is now available for pre-order Lego website. It will be released globally on November 1st in stores and online. Lego says the recommended age is 18 or older. 3D instructions for the set will be included in the Lego Builder app – my personal favorite way to build my sets.
The final Lego construction of the Sagrada Familia measures over 2 feet tall, 18 inches wide and 15 inches deep. It appears as if a black display base was included. I’ve built quite a few Lego sets over the past few months, including… bonsai tree And a Bouquet of roses. Neither set was boring or time-consuming, but the Sagrada Familia contains over 12,000 pieces, so how much time should builders expect? Lego did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
