Your Google Pixel Watch 5 may have been spoiled by… the creator of Borderlands

We may have just gotten an early look at the Google Pixel Watch 5 — and from an unusual source. Randy Pitchford, creator Border areas game franchise, posted a pair of photos of a watch on X, saying his friend had found it UnderwaterWhile diving near St. Maarten I mentioned it earlier before My city.

He pointed out that the back of the watch indicates that it is a Google Pixel 5, a phone that has not yet been announced, let alone launched. Pitchford writes. “It appears to be fine. The face indicates that the battery is empty, but it appears to have enough reserve power to display the correct time.” After making a call to find her owner, Pitchford said someone called him and he “arranged for her return.” Google did not immediately respond Edge Request for comment.

Google usually shows off its latest Pixel devices in August. That means we’ll find out if someone actually dropped the as-yet-unrevealed Pixel Watch 5 into the ocean in just a few months.
