You can now stream DirecTV on your Meta Quest headset


DirectTV Just joined the entertainment group on Meta Quest virtual reality headset So you can watch live TV and more – but without a TV screen. The company announced Thursday that the app is coming to virtual reality devices and is launching it as the first “multi-channel video programming distributor” in the space to do so. You don’t necessarily need a DirecTV subscription to watch shows either.

The app is available through the Meta Horizon Store or Horizon TV for three different models of Meta Quest: 2, 3, 3S and Pro. Access to MyFree DirecTV’s collection of ad-supported (and free) channels is included for anyone with a Meta Quest headset, but you’ll need one of DirecTV paid packages Watch sports, TV shows and movies live or choose on-demand content.

Other streaming services like Disney Plus and Prime Video are already available on Meta’s headphones, but on DirecTV Live TV Experimenting is moving things in a new direction.
