Xiaomi has ever presented a European for Buds 5 Pro, the first earphones to use the S7 Pro in Qualcomm for the Wi-Fi sound flow, as well as Bluetooth, with no energy consumption increase. Qualcomm announced technology in October 2023, which is the first to be launched.
Buds 5 Pro was announced in China on Thursday, along with 15 Ultra phoneWhich will also be launched in Europe. It comes in two versions: the normal Bluetooth model, the Wi-Fi version that uses the expanded Network Personal Area from Qualcomm (XPAN) to present the 96 kHz/24-bit sound on a frequency range of 4.2 Mbps, which is superior to anything you can get over Bluetooth. You will also be able to stay away from your phone without deteriorating connection, as long as you stay within the Wi-Fi network.
There are warnings. Obviously, you will need to be on the Wi-Fi network, so you can only get better sound benefits on your home network. When Xpan announced in 2023, Tell Qualcomm freedom Your phone will pass over Wi-Fi accreditation data during pairing, but we do not yet know whether the buds can handle communications with multiple networks, so that they work in the office as well. However, whenever Wi-Fi is not available, buds can always return to Bluetooth.
Currently, these buds are only compatible with Xiaomi 15 and 15 Ultra. This may change in the end, but devices restrictions mean that they can only work with phones that feature the compatible Qualcomm group, such as 8 Gen 3 or 8 Elite. This is ever excluded from using this Wi-Fi with any iPhone or any other Apple technology.
The battery life for 10 hours on the buds (with up to 40 including the box) is better than eight hours of the Bluetooth, which supports Qualcomm’s claim that it can provide Wi-Fi’s sound without losing the same power consumption as Bluetooth.
The sound comes from a triple driver system, with a 11 -mm main driver supported by PZT speaker and a level driver. There is support to cancel the active noise, and a set of integrated intelligence features including recording calls, copies and translation.
Buds 5 Pro Wi-Fi is available for 189.99 pounds (about $ 240) and only comes in black. It costs a little more than the Bluetooth version only, which is available in white or gray.
Update, 2 March: Additional confirmation of compatible phones.
