Fans are ready to watch 2026 FIFA World Cup – Undoubtedly the biggest TV sporting event of the summer – it has plenty of ways to follow the tournament from home. Xfinity offers its customers a list of FIFA-ready features, access to Fox One and the ability to watch matches in English and Spanish, Comcast Announced Tuesday. The football event will take place from June 11 to July 19, with more than 104 matches and 48 teams from around the world.
Are you a Xumo Stream Box customer? You can now use Fox One applicationwhich is the streaming platform that broadcasts every World Cup match. The service is now integrated into Xumo, but you’ll still need a paid subscription to watch.
For Xfinity If you watched all of the Winter Olympic events last February, you’re probably already familiar with the X1 Real time 4K Technology, fan display, AI-powered digital video recorder, and multiple DIY display feeds that can be edited.
CNET took a look at a demo of the World Cup design, noting that all of these features are available during the tournament, as well as Spanish and English voice commands that call up FIFA-related content built into the experience. Say “Copa Mundial” into your voice control, call a team name like “World Cup Argentina,” or speak other phrases to find what you want. You can also open Peacock with a voice command to stream Telemundo matches in Spanish.
Xfinity’s Clips – vertical videos – will be available in Spanish.
All 104 World Cup matches will be broadcast in RealTime 4K in English, along with one selected Spanish-language match per day from Telemundo. Kelly Wright, Comcast’s director of sports product and strategy, said the platform’s 4K broadcasts during the Super Bowl and Winter Olympics were just 17 seconds behind the on-field action.
Using the AI-powered DVR function, playback will include highlights such as saves, goals and penalties. Multiview is customizable and lets you zoom in on a single screen, switch audio between feeds, or rotate the screen you want to expand. And if you also have an Apple TV subscription, you can add live F1 races to your four-screen feed if you want – while simultaneously streaming FIFA matches or any other live sporting event. The fifth panel on the right shows you updated sports statistics. Not only does the Fan View feature allow you to keep track of stats and standings, but it also lets you set it to follow different countries during the World Cup or take a shortcut to the Xfinity Clips feature.

To help limit potential glitches, Comcast plans to launch something called Smart Boost Wi-Fi, a new feature that lets Internet customers prioritize where the Wi-Fi juice flows. If you have multiple devices connected — smart TVs, game consoles, phones, computers, etc. — you can select where you want to boost the signal further.
“It takes the Wi-Fi device you’re watching the game on — watching in RealTime 4K — and says, ‘Press OK for the smoothest Wi-Fi if this is busy,’ and then it will prioritize traffic to that device for the next five hours,” Wright explained.
