Xbox is hiring gaming industry analyst Matthew Ball to lead the strategy


Microsoft has appointed gaming industry analyst Matthew Ball as chief strategy officer at Xbox. Scott Van Fleet led Azure AI infrastructure at Microsoft before joining Xbox, and previously worked at Amazon on Fire TV, the Appstore, and more. “Scott has also been part of the XBOX community since the original Live beta in 2002,” says Sharma. “There are no changes to the hardware, Helix, or OS, which will continue to be reported to me. Scott will start ramping up the work now and will officially start after the Showcase.”

Sharma also promotes Chris Schnackenberg to corporate vice president of partnerships and business development as part of today’s shake-up of Xbox leadership.
