Microsoft launches a new version of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build today with some welcome improvements on the operating system battery icon – which may save you to realize that you have chosen a dead port, or you have connected incorrect A time.
The Windows system battery icon, which was traditionally black, is updated in three colors “designed to connect your computer battery case with a quick look only”, as the company wrote today on its website. The green code will indicate that your computer is under the charging and that it is “in good condition”, but it will turn yellow when the battery charge decreases to less than 20 percent and enters power saving mode. The red icon indicates that you have a “very low battery” and you will need to connect your computer as quickly as possible before the battery runs out.
The new colored battery icons will appear on the system tray on the task tape, in the pop -up menu, and in the general Windows settings. Microsoft says it will also be ultimately used on the lock screen, but this function will come in the future.
The inspection version today includes two additional improvements for the battery code. Microsoft simplified the passes, such as the sparkling charging code, so that it does not block the progress bar of the icon, and added the ability to show the battery charge rate next to the symbol in the system box. It can be enabled by moving to settings> Power and Battery and running the new “Battery Celsius” setting up.
Microsoft says this “is a highly required feature by the informed and customers” and must be a welcome upgrade for the battery code currently uses Windows that provides minimal information and a mysterious representation of the remaining battery. The colors should immediately explain that the laptop starts charging when it is connected, and it is very difficult to ignore (or forget) the battery that is nearing finish when it is a bright red with a shipping percentage consisting of a number one directly next to it.
The battery icon updates should be already available to Windows Insider users on DeV channel who have chosen the latest updates as soon as they are available. It will take longer to reach the general version and adjustments may be made before it reaches the other first users: Microsoft says, “The experience is not available to all those who are aware so far because we are planning to monitor the comments before publishing them for everyone,” Microsoft says.
