Will The Boys season 5 be a success? 5 major things I can’t wait to see

end Boys About to start. Prime VideoThe hugely popular superhero satire, written by Eric Kripke and inspired by the comic series by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, follows a group of corporate-owned Supes and the resistance fighters who work tirelessly to take them down. Season 5 of the show will conclude this basic storyline, and by the looks of it New trailerIt will be an explosive bloodbath.

It’s clear that The Boys’ fanbase is excited, and many viewers have their own expectations for the new episodes. I am no exception. after that The end of season 4 is full of events And the events that took place there Fifth Gen In Season 2, hype around the return of the historical series reached an all-time high. Well, for me, anyway.

What do I want to happen in the final season of The Boys? Many things. But in an effort to keep this article under a mile, I’ve narrowed it down to five epic moments I can’t wait for. If you’re not into The Boys or Gen V, tread lightly. there Major spoilers below.

Ashley’s big superpower revealed

I never expected to see Ashley (Colby Minifie) alive and watch Victoria Newman (Claudia Doumit) die, but here we are. Last season, Ashley worked her way up to the CEO position at Vought. But her promotion was short-lived. When Sister Sage (Susan Hayward) – the smartest SUP in the world – enters the picture, Ashley is reduced to being the face of the company, with no real power.

The season 4 finale found Homelander in tears, intent on destroying anyone with incriminating information about him or the company. Ashley has fallen into this category ever since she learned of Homelander’s secret stash of Compound V. So, as any troublemaker would do, she breaks into Homelander’s apartment and injects herself with a vial of blue goo with the intention of making herself impervious to attack.

Last we saw her, Ashley was in some serious pain due to the medication. As seen in the Season 5 trailer, she looks like she’s at her best. So, seriously, what power did you get?

Soldier Boy better cut Homelander down to size

Homelander (Anthony Starr) will reunite with his dear old dad in season five. But the question is why? Why does Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) wake up after the damage he sustained in Season 3? Maybe it’s to increase Homelander’s power. After all, he now runs the government.

Or maybe Soldier Boy will return to help Homelander’s mission to become immortal.

In the past few seasons, we’ve watched Homelander struggle with aging. But his search for the first iteration of Compound V – the drug that gave Thomas Godolkin (Ethan Slater) and Soldier Boy immortality – means his father may have information he desperately needs.

Then again, it’s already been teased that the reason Soldier Boy appears in the new episodes is to kill Billy Butcher (Karl Urban). If you remember, in season 3, the two teamed up to kill Homelander. However, when Soldier Boy turns his attention to Ryan (Cameron Crovetti) – the boy whom both Butcher and Homelander consider a son – Billy gets in the way and fights back.

This supernatural encounter

It’s been a long time coming, and finally, Sam and Dean Winchester will be together again on screen. Well, not exactly. But you get the point. Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles sharing a single scene — or, if we’re lucky, multiple scenes — tugs at the supernatural nostalgia’s heartstrings. Misha Collins, who played her angel boyfriend Castiel on the long-running series, will also be in the new season of The Boys.

Details of the characters they play have been kept under wraps, but that sequence in the trailer for Ackles holding Misha by the neck makes me think they’ll never get along.

Fifth generation heroes become professionals

In the second season of Gen V, Mary (Jazz Sinclair) was unknowingly being mentored by Godolkin, the god-sup who started Project Odyssey – the secret initiative that created Homelander. By the end of the season, Mary’s blood powers have grown so large that she can pop heads. She learned she had this skill when she blew Godulkin’s head off during a fight that required her college friends Emma (Liz Broadway), Jordan (London Thore), Kate (Maddie Phillips) and Sam (Asa German) to help.

The final moments of the season found them teaming up with Starlight (Erin Moriarty) and A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), officially entering the resistance against Homelander. Mary’s role in the fight against Homelander and his crew is an important one; It has the same power as Newman. This means she might be able to pop Homelander’s head off. She will definitely have a target on her back moving forward. But I have to say it’s great to see these guys teaming up with the show’s main protagonists.

An epic boss battle between Billy Butcher/Homelander

Throughout the show’s run, The Boys has given us plenty of action-packed battles between Butcher and his crew, Homelander, and Seven. We know what it’s like when Butcher and Homelander shake hands. But now that Butcher is on par with the tentacled Supe upgrade, things are supposed to get even more surprising in the final season.

There are more than a few loose ends here regarding the Butcher’s Endgame.

Will Butcher release the so-so-killing virus, thus wiping out all the so-so, including himself? If he unleashes the pandemic, which he said was his plan in Season 4, will Ryan step up and use his powers to save the world? No matter how well things go, The Boys are going to tear it up when the show returns in April.
