the Garbage Robot 5 Pro It is the latest stool collecting machine from Whisker, the makers of stools Excellent Garbage Robot 4which brings facial recognition for your cats to its line of self-cleaning litter boxes. The company also offers an optional subscription service, Whisker Pluswhich monitors and tracks your cat’s bathroom behavior over time to produce a “detailed analysis of data trends,” which may help detect changes and detect problems early, according to the company.
However, it will cost you: $7.99 per month (or $79.99 per year) to subscribe to Plus and $899 to subscribe to Litter-Robot 5 Pro. It’s equipped with two night-vision, AI-powered cameras — one to scan your cat’s face and the other to monitor its droppings.
The company also announced two other new models this week, both without a camera Garbage robot 5 For $799 and slight More budget friendly Trash Robot Evo For $599. All three models are available for pre-order now at Whisker.com It will ship on November 3rd.
The appliances have been redesigned for self-cleaning machines that spin after each use and dump the waste into a sealed bin. It now features a new control panel with an LCD display for on-device updates, which means less reliance on the app or trying to decipher flashing LEDs to figure out what’s going on. Whisker claims that the Series 5 models can tell the difference between pee and poop and will dispatch the latter faster for better odor control. They also have a larger trash can, so you don’t have to empty it as often.
The main difference between the 5 and 5 Pro is that the Pro has cameras and works like new Whisker Petage ($29)an RFID tag that helps the robot identify pets, especially cats that look alike. It also works as a digital ID, with a QR code that anyone can scan to contact you if they find your pet. Both the 5 and 5 Pro can hold up to five cats, one more than the Litter-Robot 4.
The cameras — a front-facing camera that uses facial recognition and one interior camera that monitors the litter bed — are designed to provide more accurate activity tracking and help detect changes in routine. If you subscribe to Whisker Plus, you can also view and save video footage of your cat’s toilet activities – sorry kitties, you can’t unsubscribe.
The Litter-Robot Evo is the company’s cheapest robot at $599. It’s smaller, can hold up to two cats, and doesn’t have some of the cool features the Litter-Robot 4 has, like automatic night lights or litter level sensing. But it has a new LCD screen. The Litter-Robot 4 will continue to retail for $699.
All robots connect to the Whisker app, where you can start cycling remotely, get usage alerts, and track activity and weight for each cat. To get daily insights, trend and behavior tracking — and video footage — you need to upgrade to Whisker Plus.
some Edge The kittens will be testing these new robots to see if artificial intelligence has gone too far or technology that can actually help keep your pet healthy.
