Two decades after the first episode of Hannah Montana aired, you can revisit the stars, songs and costumes of the iconic Disney Channel show in a nostalgic special.
The Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary special will be airing soon on both Disney Plus And Holo. It will include an interview between the program’s presenter, Alex Cooper, and star Miley Cyrus. The anniversary program will include “never-before-seen archival footage” and redesigns of Hannah Montana’s closet and the Stewart family’s living room, according to Disney Plus. It will also include a musical performance by Cyrus, and familiar faces (Billy Ray Cyrus appears in Official trailer) And some surprises.
Hannah Montana ran for four seasons between 2006 and 2011, spawning soundtrack albums and two films. Miley Cyrus starred as the series’ titular pop star who leads a double life as Miley Stewart, and the cast also included Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso, Jason Earles, and Moises Arias. The new specials are premiering on Disney Plus and Hulu Tuesday 24 March, According to a Disney press release. Disney Plus typically makes new titles available at 12:01 a.m. PT (3:01 a.m. ET) in the US, and CNET has reached out to Disney to confirm that the special will follow that timing.
Standalone Disney Plus and Hulu plans start at $13 per month with ads. Standalone, ad-free versions cost $20 per month. You can also choose to pay annually for ad-supported Hulu ($120 per year) or ad-free Disney Plus ($190 per year). According to Disney Plus, more than half a billion hours of the Hannah Montana catalog have been streamed globally on Disney Plus.
