WhatsApp said on Wednesday it is rolling out new features for group chats, including member tags, text stickers and event reminders.
With member tags, you can choose a name that gives others in the group chat more context about who you are and your role. For example, you could be “Anna’s father” in one group, and “Goalkeeper” in another group.
As for text stickers, you can turn any word into a sticker by typing your text in the sticker search. You can also add these newly created stickers directly to your sticker packs without sending them in chat.
Event Reminders lets you set personalized reminders for invitees when you create and send an event in a group chat.
These new features come as WhatsApp continues to enhance group chats with capabilities like sharing large files up to 2GB in size, sending HD media, screen sharing, voice chats, and more.
