Walmart is updating its 4K streaming box with support for Gemini and Matter

At $59.88, the new Onn 4K Pro is $10 more expensive than the previous version, and now features a larger, 4K-like design $99.99 Google TV Streamer 4K Which Launched in September 2024. The new model carries features like 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, 4K Ultra UHD support, Dolby Vision including Dolby Atmos Audio, Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, and an Ethernet port. The Google TV Streamer 4K offers 4GB of RAM with the same amount of storage, but only supports Wi-Fi 5.

The biggest updates to the Onn 4K Pro include the addition of Google Gemini support to facilitate voice control, better hands-free search and recommendations, and Matter-over-Thread compatibility so streamers can control other smart home devices. Earlier this week, this was announced Walmart has joined the Communications Standards Alliancewho developed the issue protocol. The new Onn 4K Pro remote also looks identical to the previous version, but can now be located using voice commands.
