VSCO competes with Adobe with a new release Studio Pro The editing app launches today on iOS and will come to macOS later this year Bloomberg Reports. At launch, the app offers tools for batch editing, matching styles from a reference image, and sharing images through VSCO galleries. VSCO says more features are coming later, including support for RAW images, advanced export options, and additional advanced editing tools like adjusting image aspect ratios.
The app is designed to manage large-scale editorial projects, such as “weddings, portraits, events, sports, school photography and other large-scale photo shoots,” a press release said.
A $500-per-year VSCO One subscription will launch later this month as an alternative to the “fragmented approach” of using separate software platforms for photo editing and business processes such as contacting clients or delivering finished images. It is priced on par with the cost of an annual subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud Pro, and offers the VSCO suite of applications including Studio Pro, Yasserexhibitions, workspace, locations, Artificial Intelligence Laboratoryand Canvas, a commercial mentorship program for independent photographers.
