Use AI to find your next rental car with Turo’s ChatGPT app

ChatGPT It can now help you find and book a rental car thanks to a new service teaching The integration began Monday. Toro’s app ChatGPT You are allowed to just say Artificial intelligence chatbot What to look for – from pickup location and dates to number of seats, Preference for electric car And more – using natural language, you’ll get real Turo rental cars, tips and direct links to the Turo website to book.

Turo is a peer-to-peer marketplace that allows private owners to rent out their personal cars to travelers and locals. I like to think of it as “Airbnb Cars” or drive the car yourself Uber. Unlike traditional rental agencies that own and maintain large fleets of cars, Turo only provides the technology, insurance, and support to connect vehicle hosts with guest drivers. Turo has proven to be a popular alternative to an airport rental desk thanks to its more diverse selection of unique car models (including luxury or high-tech vehicles), competitive pricing, and ease of delivery of certain vehicles.

Now, it has ChatGPT integration. You can access the new Turo app within ChatGPT by first searching for Turo and then adding it to the list of available agents in the ChatGPT app list. Once connected, adding “@Turo” to any conversation with the AI bot will trigger the new functionality.

I fired up ChatGPT after setting it up myself and wrote the prompt: “@Turo, I’m landing in Atlanta on Friday and would like to rent an electric car for the weekend with enough range to get to Augusta. What’s available?”

The app responded with lists of vehicles currently available for rent near the airport with enough range to make a roughly 300-mile round trip with just one quick increment. Each listing included photos, price estimates (including taxes and fees), star ratings, and the number of times each car had been rented.

Atlas of Artificial Intelligence

Clicking on the menu took me directly to Toro website (or mobile app) to complete your reservation. I also tried asking for “electric vehicle near my house that seats six” and “hybrid vehicle that might be useful for commuting,” and found that the results were adequate.

In addition to the listings, ChatGPT and Turo provided details (such as range) about each car as well as pros and cons, like Tesla Chargers galore Between Atlanta and Augusta OR The Kia EV6’s charging speed is very fast. Overall, the new job seems like a fairly comfortable and decent starting point for someone who knows nothing about cars to choose a rental.

Turo’s implementation of ChatGPT is the latest example of the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence in every aspect of the automotive industry, starting with Natural language AI assistants In the dashboard AI-powered inspection From car rental revenues.
