Trump administration releases Anthropic Mythos to be used by more than 100 US companies and agencies

Two weeks after the ban that caused Anthropic is withdrawing its strong cybersecurity-oriented modelsMythos 5 and Fable 5, from the market, the Trump administration is softening its stance.

It now allows Anthropic to make Mythos 5 available to more than 100 select US government agencies and companies, including allowing non-US employees at those organizations to access the model, whether traffic lights and Reuters a report. This list also includes non-US employees of Anthropic, who were included in the original ban that denied non-US employees access to the models.

“I have determined that appropriate safeguards are in place to allow certain trusted partners access to the Cloud Mythos Model 5,” Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick wrote to Tom Brown, chief computing officer at Anthropic, on Friday, according to the letter seen by Semafor.
