TikTok is testing an AI similarity detection tool

Creators who are part of the TikTok test and want to use the tool will have to verify their identity first A company called Jumio. You’ll have to do a real-time selfie scan and identity verification, but Kizer says that “TikTok does not retain identity documents, and facial information is only used for likeness matching and to help identify potential unauthorized uses of a creator’s likeness.”

After verification, TikTok’s system searches for AI-generated content that is likely to use the creator’s photo. From there, the creator can review what TikTok has found and potentially report unauthorized posts and accounts.
