Babies have sticky fingers. If I touch your iPhoneYou can expect spots to appear on your screen and possibly on your camera lens. And it’s not always your children’s fault. Adults can also get dirt on the camera lens. So your photos may look blurry and you may have to take the photo several times. Fortunately, with iOS 26 There’s a feature that can warn you when your camera lens needs cleaning, that way you don’t miss out on a gorgeous sunset or other Instagram moments.
Apple released iOS 26 in Septemberand has brought a number of new features to your iPhone, including Call screening, New ringtones and more. It also introduced an easily overlooked feature called Lens Cleaning Tips. When you enable this feature, your iPhone will display a message that your camera needs to be cleaned.
This feature was automatically enabled for me after downloading iOS 26 But here’s where to find it in case it doesn’t work for you. It is important to note that it is only available on iPhone 15 And newer models, so if you have iPhone 14 Pro, You will not see this option.
1. handle Settings.
2. handle camera.
3. Click on Tips for cleaning lenses Toggle it near the bottom of the list.
When enabled, your iPhone will detect if the front camera lens is dirty and your device will ask you to clean it to improve image quality. It’s a great way to make sure you always get a good photo, and it can be helpful to let your kids play with your phone, leaving smudges on it.
