ZTE has a new trio Phones This will make players happy, she revealed Mobile World Congress 2026. The Nubia Neo 5 series takes some of the coolest features from the premium model Red Magic 11 Pro (launched back in November) and packs them in Budget phones -Even though they won’t be coming to the United States anytime soon.
Gaming phones are aimed at people who want the best performance, graphics, and battery life from their mobile devices. Aimed at mobile gamers, these phones were always niche devices, but many of them, like the RedMagic series and ASUS ROG devices, were expensive, high-end handsets with elite features. The ZTE Neo 5 phones are an attempt to offer some of these great perks at costs low enough to undercut or compete with devices like iPhone 17e or Google Pixel 10a. Since the lack of RAM may cause phone prices to rise this year (as we have already seen with… Galaxy S26 phones), consumers may look for cheaper options like the Neo 5 series.
The cream of ZTE’s budget crop is the Neo 5 GT. At €450 (about $430), it inherits most of the features of the RedMagic 11 Pro. Most notable is the internal cooling fan which, combined with the Neo 5 series’ heat-absorbing layer, cools the phone’s internals by 4 degrees Celsius, according to ZTE estimates. The fan ports are visible on both sides of the phone near the volume and lock buttons, so it’s safe to say the phone should be kept away from dust and water (ZTE has not released IP ratings for the Neo 5 GT).
The GT has a “gamer chic” look with LED lights. It has a 6,120 mAh battery, 80W charging, and a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen with a 144 Hz refresh rate; Features more common in phones twice the price. The phone also has capacitive touch shoulder buttons with a latency of less than 5.5ms.

The Nubia Neo 5 is the base model, which will retail for around €300 (about $350), with capacitive shoulder buttons and a cooling layer that ZTE estimates reduces internal temperatures by 2 degrees Celsius.

The Neo 5 Max stepper lives up to its name. For about 350 euros (about $415), it has a 7.5-inch screen — about the size of the 8-inch internal screen on a PC. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 – And a battery capacity of more than 7000 mAh.
With features that make them competitive with more expensive phones, like the Google Pixel 10A, the Neo 5 phones will appeal to anyone, especially mobile gamers. The Neo 5 and Neo 5 GT are expected to go on sale in Europe in April, then later in parts of Latin America. ZTE said the Neo 5 Max will arrive in the same regions around July. It is unclear whether it will be sold in the United States or not.
