Nvidia has officially entered the world of consumer laptop chips with the RTX Spark, and many hardware makers already have hardware ready for it. Microsoft, Asus, HP, MSI, Lenovo and Dell are expected to launch RTX Spark laptops Sometime this fall, some of these partner companies will share details about what we can expect.
The common theme among all upcoming launches is this The superior ARM-based Nvidia RTX Spark chipalthough there are several variations in the pipeline. The flagship version revealed by Nvidia at Computex includes 20 CPU cores, 6,144 GPU cores, and 128GB of LPDDR5X memory – making it almost identical to the 10GB chip inside Nvidia DGX Spark “An artificially intelligent super-personal computer.” According to Nvidia, other versions with at least 16GB of memory will come later.
So, aside from the new chipset, here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming RTX Spark laptops:
Microsoft has provided a few details about the upcoming RTX Spark device Surface Laptop Ultra. We don’t have its final specifications or even a price, but we do know that the Surface Laptop will feature a 15-inch mini LED touchscreen with 2,000 nits of brightness. Microsoft says this is the “brightest display we’ve ever shipped,” and that it offers 262 pixels per inch and “HD color accuracy.”
The Surface Laptop Ultra will have HDMI, USB-C, USB-A ports, an SD card, and a headphone jack, though Microsoft hasn’t specified which speed or version it will run. The touchpad is also “the largest touchpad we’ve ever put on a Surface,” according to Microsoft. The company also claims that this is the “most powerful Surface laptop ever made,” though while there aren’t full specs to back that up, we won’t know for sure until we can test it for ourselves later this year.
The overview Asus provided for its upcoming ProArt laptops is one of the most comprehensive among Nvidia’s launch partners, though key details like storage configurations and price have yet to be announced. Two models launching later this year — the ProArt P16 and ProArt P14 — focus on meeting the needs of creative professionals, sporting high-resolution displays that sport enhanced colors, and plenty of RAM to run demanding applications. Both laptop displays support touch functionality, and the dial wheel built into the touchpad on current-generation ProArt laptop models is being replaced with haptic touchpad features.
MSI is also rolling out its own RTX Spark-powered offering, the Prestige N16 Flip AI Plus, which features a 2-in-1 foldable form factor. MSI says this “represents a new generation of premium thin-and-light PCs,” though the company hasn’t shared any information about its weight or dimensions yet. And you guessed it – we also don’t know how much it will cost, or what memory and storage configurations will be available. There’s a little information about its 16-inch display below, but all we know other than that is that it will support MSI Nano Pen: An MSI pen designed in collaboration with Microsoft that also serves as an AI microphone for Copilot.
If you’ve been paying attention to our Computex coverage, you’ll know that Dell, HP, and Lenovo will also launch Nvidia Spark-powered devices. Advertisements for HP’s upcoming Dell XPS 16, Lenovo Yoga Pro 9n, OmniBook In Nvidia’s announcement, it said that all RTX Spark laptops will have “all-day battery life” and be “as thin as 14mm.”
HP says it will share the information “as soon as possible,” and other companies will likely commit to a similar timeline. There are at least some images of the devices to give us an idea of what will be launching this fall. Acer and Gigabyte are also expected to launch their own Spark laptops. According to Nvidiaalthough there is no mention of specific models or launch time frame.
