The trailer for the final season of The Boys teases a big, bloody finale

Prime Video has just released a trailer for the fifth and final season of the dark satirical superhero series Boyswhich premieres on Wednesday, April 8 Season 5 trailer It offers an extended look at what’s to come after four seasons of The Boys and two seasons of the spin-off show Fifth Gen.

The trailer poses a big problem for the series’ heroes battling Homelander (Anthony Starr) – he could become immortal. Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) seems willing to wipe out everything on the planet to prevent this.

The trailer also includes a humorous encounter between Homelander and his boy-soldier father (Jensen Ackles).

“I need you, Daddy,” Homelander says.

“Is this some kind of incest?” The confused soldier boy replies.

The trailer reminds us that a variety of Boys characters’ fates are up in the air, including Starlight (Erin Moriarty), Hughie (Jack Quaid), A-Train (Jessie T. Usher), The Deep (Chace Crawford), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capone), Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) and more.

The preview also includes fifth-generation actors Jaz Sinclair and London Thore, who play Marie Moreau and Jordan Leigh, and teases a reunion between Supernatural alumni Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins — who are joining Season 5 in unknown roles — and Ackles.
