The new trailer for Mickey 17 is a reminder to read the small print

before Mickey 17Debuting in a few weeksWarner Bros. launched A new trailer makes the film’s vision of terraforming alien planets look like absolute hell — at least for the working class.

Everyone has an important role to play Mickey 17The film takes in a future in which humanity is trying to colonize other worlds. But in the new trailer, it’s clear that Mickey Barnes (Robert Pattinson) has no idea what he’s agreeing to when he signs up to be an “expendable person” on a ship bound for the deserted ice planet Niflheim.

Mikey doesn’t think there’s anything strange about how all his teammates stay on their ship, once they arrive in Niflheim, while they encourage him to walk around outside with his helmet on and take deep breaths of any viruses that might be hanging out in the atmosphere. And he doesn’t seem to be concerned once his seemingly small excursion leads to a deadly infection that involves coughing up a lot of blood. It’s terrible, but it’s also what Mickey’s colleagues expect of him, since his job is to be a lab rat who dies over and over again before being cloned by a 3D printer.

Although the new trailer becomes increasingly more gruesome, it also leans into the film’s humor as it shows just how messed up the situation Mickey has gotten himself into is. And when? Mickey 17 It hits theaters on March 7, and will likely leave us all remembering why it’s important to always read your employment contracts.
