It’s great for outdoor use thanks to its IP67 rating, which means splashes and sand won’t affect it. The SoundLink Max sounds excellent, though it’s missing some features we’d expect any premium priced Bluetooth speaker to have. For example, you can’t use it as a speakerphone for calls (it lacks a microphone), and it doesn’t support Wi-Fi, so you’ll have to connect using either Bluetooth or a 3.5mm cable. The speaker’s colorful finishes are attractive, although we noted in our review that its surface scratches easily and may show wear over time.
