Taylor Sheridan has 10 successful TV shows on the run. Here’s where to watch them all


Taylor Sheridan has become one of the most prolific and popular presenters working in television today. (He’s so popular that several networks have tried to lure him away from Paramount over the years NBCUniversal Successfully concluded a deal with him recently.) While Sheridan achieved success as a screenwriter, he wrote such films as Hired killer And for those who wish me dead, it is his television empire that has made him a household name, and he is responsible for developing or writing 10 series and counting.

Sheridan’s most famous show is, of course, Yellowstone, the epic drama about the Dutton family and their ranch in Montana, but his empire is constantly expanding and many new series are coming. The recently released The Madison, which was previously described as part of the Yellowstone series, is actually just its own series now, and has no connection at all to the world of the Duttons. (Ironically, the new CBS series Marshallswhich you can stream on Paramount Plus, He is A spin-off of Yellowstone, but Sheridan is not involved.) Sheridan is also developing another spin-off series, Frisco King, featuring Samuel L. Jackson’s Tulsa King character, assassin Russell Lee Washington Jr. This series is currently in production.

Paramount Network

Paramount Network greenlit Yellowstone in 2017 and premiered the first episode in 2018. The show, which starred Kevin Costner as John Dutton, a Montana farmer with a complicated family and even more complicated political entanglements, ran for five seasons and became the network’s most popular series and one of cable’s biggest hits during its run. In what may be one of the most surprising decisions of the streaming era, Paramount chose to license the streaming rights to the series to Peacock in 2020. So, you can listen to all five seasons of the series there, but not on Paramount Plus. (Paramount retained the rights to all other Yellowstone IP, so spin-offs and prequels to the series are on Paramount Plus.)

The Madison is the latest Taylor Sheridan series to arrive on Paramount Plus, and this story is a standalone story, unrelated to the Yellowstone universe. The series stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell as Stacy and Preston Claiborne, a couple who endure a tragedy and move their family from Manhattan to Montana’s rural Madison River Valley. The series stars Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Amiya Miller, Alina Pollak, and Matthew Fox. The first season consisted of six episodes, and The Madison was renewed for a second season.

Emerson Miller/Paramount Plus

1883 is the first limited series to be woven from Yellowstone and is the origin story of the Dutton family. The cast includes Tim McGraw and Faith Hill as James and Margaret Dutton, grandparents of Kevin Costner’s John Dutton, and Isabel May as their daughter Elsa. Sam Elliot stars as a wagon train conductor, helping the Duttons and several others cross the country so they can settle west, eventually ending up in Montana. The series consists of 10 episodes, all of which are available on Paramount Plus.

Trey Patton/Paramount Plus

1923 is a continuation of the chronological story of the Dutton family, set a generation after 1883. The show starred Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford as Kara and Jacob Dutton. James’ children are raised by James Dutton’s older brother, Jacob, played by Tim McGraw, and the series follows them as they deal with the looming hardships of the Great Depression. The show ran for two seasons on Paramount Plus, where you can find all 16 episodes.

Mayor of Kingstown (2021-)

The Mayor of Kingstown, Sheridan’s first TV series set outside the Yellowstone universe, is still going strong after four seasons. (You can watch new episodes of Season 4 airing weekly this fall.) The crime series stars Jeremy Renner as Mike McCluskey, a power broker between local criminals, politicians and inmates in the prison town of Kingstown, Michigan. You can watch every episode of Mayor of Kingstown on Paramount Plus. The show has been confirmed to end after season 5.

Paramount Plus

Sylvester Stallone stars as Dwight “General” Manfredi in Tulsa King, a series about a gangster fresh out of prison who heads to Tulsa and immediately establishes a new life of crime there. Three seasons have now been released, and the show has been renewed for a fourth season. A spin-off series titled Frisco King (formerly NOLA King) began filming in March 2026.

CMT

The Last Cowboy is the only unscripted series with Sheridan’s name attached to it, and is about actual cowboys competing for a million-dollar prize. There are five seasons of the competitive horse reining series available on Paramount Plus.

Lawmen: Bass Reeves (2023)

Taylor Sheridan executive produces Lawmen: Bass Reeves, although he did not write or direct any of the show’s eight episodes. The real Bass Reeves, played in the show by David Oyelowo, was born into slavery and eventually became one of the first African-American Deputy U.S. Marshals in the American West. There has been no word on a new season of the Western crime drama, although show creator Chad Feehan has left the door open and said it could become a series. Paramount Plus

There are two seasons of the spy thriller Lioness (aka Special Ops: Lioness) available on Paramount Plus, and the show has been renewed for a third season. The series stars Zoe Saldana as Joe McNamara, a CIA official in charge of the Lioness Program, a group of secret female operatives fighting terrorism. The series stars Nicole Kidman, Liza de Oliveira, and Morgan Freeman. Sheridan wrote and directed every episode.

Paramount Plus

The Texas oil drama Landman features an impressive cast: Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Sam Elliott, and Andy Garcia all co-star. In the series, Thornton plays a petroleum businessman working for an oil company, and the series chronicles the intense tension surrounding the race to control the remaining supplies of fossil fuels in Texas and the men who will stop at nothing to do so. Season three is also on its way.
