State of Play: The Wolverine trailer reveals the game’s story, villains, and combat

Sony’s State of Play event kicked off with a monster game of the biggest exclusives released in September: Wolverine.

A new gameplay video presented by developer Insomniac Games revealed new details about the game and announced this Wolverine pre-orders Available now.

And in the new game video Wolverine It follows a group of paramilitary cybernetic mercenaries called the Reavers, who are collecting mutants. We get a look at bloody and brutal combat as Wolverine slices up enemies with his Adamantium claws and enemy attacks leave the X-Man with huge open wounds.

In the scene, Logan jumps from a motorcycle to land on top of a convoy of trucks, jumping from one to the next, taking out bad guys. Combat gradually fills the Rage Gauge, which is then used to unleash more powerful attacks or quickly restore health.

The video also shows off a host of X-Men characters who will appear in the game, including Jean Grey, Mystique, Nightcrawler, the Sentinels, and Wolverine’s greatest rival, Sabretooth.

The PS5 exclusive will be released on September 15 for $70. Pre-orders will grant early access to Wolverine’s classic brown suit and reflective claws, a nod to the iconic suit. Cover of Hulk #340 comic book. Pre-orders also come with an additional tech point to use in the game and four PS avatars.

There’s also a $80 digital deluxe edition of the game. This edition includes the previously mentioned pre-order bonuses as well as five exclusive suits: Incredible, Savage, Age of Apocalypse, Night Hunt, and New Leather. There are also five exclusive claws: smooth-edged claws, hollow-bladed claws, thick claws, serrated spine claws, and pointed claws. Players will also receive three technical points.
