Samsung will launch new Micro RGB TVs in 2026

After release 115-inch Micro RGB TV returns in AugustSamsung today revealed that its Micro RGB technology will extend to smaller sizes ranging from the giant 115-inch all the way up to 55-inchers. While we all enjoy big dreams, it’s perfectly reasonable for most of us to consider putting a 55, 65, or 75-inch TV in the living room.

The new Micro RGB TVs will be available in 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, 98- and 100-inch sizes, joining the 115-inch MR95F. We expect more details on pricing and release dates at CES in January.

Although there’s no set standard that defines the naming convention for using “mini” versus “micro” when talking about the new RGB TV technology, Samsung points out that the individual red, green, and blue LEDs used in each group are less than 100 micrometers (µm) in size. This is less than The diameter of a strand of human hair or the length of a speck of dust. Using RGB LEDs as backlights – instead of the white or blue used in all other LED TVs – combined with a color filter gives the TV better color purity and brightness.
