But the emergence of such accounts is perhaps not entirely surprising. Following ownership changes in 2022, X adopted a freer approach to moderation, becoming a hub for conservative and right-wing commentators. Adult creators who relied heavily on X for promotion suddenly found themselves working in a feed in which political discourse, especially conservative media, was prominent.

While erotic racism and dom/sub relationships have a long history in the adult entertainment industry, the framework around them online has been updated to reflect current pro-MAGA messages, many of which have become more pronounced in the age of Internet porn.

According to Whitney Stroup, associate professor at Rutgers University-Newark and author of Perversion for Profit: The Politics of Pornography and the Rise of the New RightTrump’s MAGA movement has always relied on white nationalist politics that respond to racist fears with displays of masculine power.

“Fascist sexual politics tends toward sadomasochism — master-race domination combined with submission to tyranny and cuckold fantasies that are rarely far from the surface of conspiracy theories,” he says, citing the alt-right’s Great Replacement Theory, which argues that declining white birth rates combined with mass immigration from non-white countries will eventually lead to the erasure of so-called indigenous white populations.

Straub adds that the cruelty on display echoes the violent sexual catharsis that is typical of Nazi and white nationalist propaganda. “These MAGA sexist accounts strike me as the next phase of those paths, filtered through the ironic sensibilities of Something Awful, 4chan, and greyper meme culture.”

For Josh, the appeal of MAGA-themed porn is pretty simple.

“We value freedom of expression, so we don’t care about your opinions or kinks as long as they’re not liberal,” he says. “Patriotism is sexy. Why shouldn’t I be attracted to hot guys who share my views?”
