First, Andrew Lankson (it’s me, hello!) captured a shot of video producer Celso Bolgatti crawling on Abrar Al-Hiti’s Galaxy S26 Ultra. It’s not usually that intrusive, it’s just a way to display the phone’s new privacy screen.

Typical scene at MWC: a large number of journalists crowded around the projection screen, not giving each other space to get the photos they need. Instead of joining the melee, she stepped back and took a photo of them instead. Why? Because I already had the phone in my pocket.

Some events – such as Showstoppers, a small tech conference in itself – are held away from the main convention center in Fira. In this case, it was a real palace, so it was only natural that we would take a photo right outside.

It may be a cliche to say it, but we really made each other laugh this week, and it was a great feeling to come together as a team. MWC, like many major tech events, can be a challenge, and while it’s certainly a huge amount of work for all of us, it’s also a great opportunity to come together and have fun with like-minded tech nerds.
