Nimble’s Sharepower portable battery has doubled the charging fun

I have a list of The best power bank for iPhone And Android devices, most of the innovations in recent years have come in the form of slimmer, higher-powered wireless charging batteries that magnetically stick to your phone to charge it faster and without overheating. But the environmentally sensitive Nimble went in a different direction to create something new in the world of portable batteries: its new $80 Joint force The power bank splits in half, so you can generously lend half of it to that stressed-out person in your life who’s low on battery and has failed to travel without a backup power option.

Sharepower is not a wireless charger. Rather, it is two 5000 mAh batteries that are magnetically connected to each other. Each has a USB-C connector to provide power with a fast 20W wired connection. The 5000 mAh battery capacity is enough to fully charge most phones at once.

When the two batteries are split, they are designed to operate as independent batteries, so you can charge them separately if necessary. When you plug them back in, the batteries immediately begin balancing the power load, distributing power evenly across the batteries.

As a single 10,000mAh battery, the Sharepower is a bit powerful. It weighs 7.6 ounces (216 grams), and each battery weighs about 3.8 ounces or 108 grams. But other 10,000 mAh batteries don’t weigh much less. At launch, the Sharepower was available in white, but Nimble is offering it in blue and pink “Limited Edition” color options which is the white version covered in silicone covers that provide some grip and protection, which is nice (the covers can be removed if you wish).

Although it’s priced higher than typical 10,000mAh power banks, the design of this battery is finicky, so I can understand why it costs more. However, it may be worth paying the Sharepower premium to avoid family squabbles over low batteries and who can use one power bank and for how long. I’m usually nice and let my kids take up to 25%, sacrificing all of my fees. But I can’t say I’m happy about it.
