The Vikings had a chance to reach the top seed in the NFC bye in the first round but lost to the Lions in the final game of the season. The loss dropped the Vikings to 14-3 and the No. 5 seed in the conference as the best Wild Card team. They’ll start the playoffs on the road against the No. 4 Rams, who finished the season 10-7, which was good enough to win the NFC West. Tonight’s winner will head to Philadelphia next weekend to face the Eagles.
Devastating wildfires in Southern California forced the NFL to move the game from the Rams’ home stadium in Inglewood to Glendale, Arizona. The game will now be played at State Farm Stadium, home of the Arizona Cardinals.
