Apple TV He is distinguished by being one of the only ones Streaming services To offer only original content on its platform: You won’t find a rotating library of blockbuster movies and classic sitcoms there. Instead, you’ll get a carefully curated collection of interesting content for kids and adults alike. This includes offers such as Ted LassoThe Morning Show, Shrinking and films like F1: The Movie – all made by and for Apple.
Because Apple’s content lineup is carefully programmed, it doesn’t release as many titles each month as some of the company’s competitors, but what it offers always piques our interest. This May, we can’t wait to watch Tatiana Maslany’s series Maximum Fun Guaranteed. It’s billed as a darkly comedic thriller, and will hopefully remind us of her amazing work in Orphan Black.
There’s also Star City, a new series from the creators of For All Mankind, and Propeller One-Way Night Coach, a family adventure film written and directed by John Travolta. In addition, you can capture Live F1 races This season and Every MLS match on Apple TV now that the MLS Season Pass is part of Apple’s subscription package. Football season is in full swing, with matches broadcast every week.

New shows on Apple TV in May
Unconditional is a new Israeli thriller about a mother and daughter’s vacation that goes awry when 23-year-old Ghali (Talia Lyn Ron) is arrested for drug smuggling in Russia. Her mother, Orna (Liraz Shamami), refuses to accept the charges, but as she tries to clear her daughter’s name, she is drawn into a web of crime and corruption. The eight-episode series begins airing, with the first two episodes airing on Friday, May 8, followed by a new episode every Friday until June 19.
Maximum fun guaranteed (May 20)
If you’ve ever watched Orphan Black, you’ll know that there’s almost nothing Tatiana Maslany can’t do as an actress. Maslany played 17 different roles on the show, all clones of each other, and all with completely distinct personalities. All of this is to say that we’ve been waiting for Maslany to star in a new show that would give her something both exciting and fun, and it looks like the new comedy-thriller Maximum Fun Guaranteed might be just the thing.
In the new series, Maslany plays a recently divorced mother who believes she has witnessed a crime and becomes embroiled in a dangerous investigation. As she navigates her personal life, she finds herself uncovering a conspiracy much deeper than she thought. The series stars Jesse Johnson, Jesse Hodges, and Murray Bartlett, and will arrive on Apple TV on May 20.
If you’re a fan of For All Mankind, you’ll be excited about the new Star City series coming from the same creators, Ben Nedivi, Mat Wolpert, and Ronald D. Moore. The new series offers another perspective on that defining moment in the alternate history of the space race for all of humanity, when the Soviet Union became the first country to put a man on the moon. But this time the story is told from the Soviets’ point of view, showing the lives of astronauts, engineers and intelligence officers in the Soviet space program. The series stars Rhys Ifans, Anna Maxwell Martin, Agnes O’Casey and Alice Englert, and will premiere for two episodes on May 29.

One-Way Night Coach (May 29)
In 1997, aviation enthusiast John Travolta wrote a children’s book called Propeller One-Way Night Coach, about a young boy’s cross-country plane trip at the dawn of commercial airline travel. 30 years later, he adapted the story for the screen and made his directorial debut with the film. The Apple Original stars Clark Shotwell, Kelly Eveston Quinette, Ella Bleu Travolta, and Olga Hoffmann. It will premiere on the platform on May 29.
