New leaks reveal the price and performance specifications of DJI’s upcoming entry-level drones

They are expected to be replacements for older models such as DJI Mini 3 and Mini4ProBoth aircraft weigh less than 249 grams, meaning they can be operated without having to register with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) or other governing bodies around the world. The DJI Lito 1 features a 48MP camera on a 3-axis gimbal with a 1/2-inch sensor that can capture 4K videos or 8K still photos. It has a maximum flight range of up to 20 kilometers with omni-directional obstacle sensing, and a maximum flight time of up to 36 minutes, depending on conditions.

The more expensive DJI Lito Its maximum flight distance is 21 kilometers, but the biggest upgrade appears to be a more forward-facing LIDAR system to more reliably avoid obstacles at higher flight speeds.

Both drones will be sold as kits that include the DJI RC-N3 remote controller. It’s a basic controller that lacks a screen of its own but includes an extender clip that can hold a smartphone so you can see a live preview of where you’re flying using its screen instead.
