New ‘Fast & Furious’ TV shows coming to Peacock

Just when you thought the Fast & Furious franchise couldn’t get any bigger, it’s rushing in to woo fans with a host of TV shows on peacock. During the presentation given to StreamerParent company NBCUniversal on Monday star Vin Diesel shared that there are four series in the works based on high-octane racing films.

“So, even though we’re going to (Comic) Con for our 25th anniversary, and even though we have a rollercoaster ride coming this summer, and despite the fact that we’re welcoming the Olympics to California in 2028, the news I have here today is that Peacock will be launching four shows from the Fast & Furious universe,” said the actor, who plays family man Dominic Toretto in the films.

Although details of the series’ plot and cast were not shared during the event, Diesel said the TV show finally felt right with Donna Langley on board. Langley, president of Universal Pictures, helped shape the series’ growth and creative direction, and played a major role in the film’s global popularity.

Diesel pointed to Fast & Furious’s worldwide fan base, the appeal of the series’ characters and the films’ legacy 25 years later, noting that he never thought it would expand this much.

The newest and final film in the collection, Fast Forever, is scheduled for a March 2028 release.
