Netflix’s 2026 lineup is hot: New ‘Stranger Things,’ ‘One Piece,’ ‘Bridgerton,’ and more


Netflix revealed a sneak peek at its 2026 movie, TV, and live-action lineup on Wednesday. As I’ve said in previous years, this year’s list is full of great things – and that’s not all. The streamer says more titles will be announced later this year. As you’ll see in the highlights section below, we’ll have a number of fan-favorite TV series returning for new seasons. Netflix also offers a collection of noteworthy movies and live events that are sure to pique your interest.

I’ll cut to the chase — you’re here to watch the 2026 TV shows and movies on Netflix that will likely be your next binge-watching binge. Read on for all the highlights from today’s announcement, but be sure to visit Tudum for an expanded list.

TV shows

This year, we’ll get Season 4 of Bridgerton, which will be split into two halves (released on January 29 and February 26, respectively) and the highly anticipated return of One Piece (titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line) on March 10. Emmy Award-winning Beef will premiere its second season on April 16, and Lupine is back with a sequel and the high-concept sci-fi series BodyProblem 3. For season 2.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the Duffer Brothers. The animated Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 and its spinoff series, The Boroughs, are set to hit streaming this year. And you thought this was the last time we visited the Upside Down. Silly goose.

Other noteworthy shows coming to Netflix in 2026 include:

  • The Little House on the Prairie: The bold reimagining of the classic TV series, based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s popular books, has been described as “part fairy tale, part survival story, and part family saga.”
  • Hunting wives: The drama, full of blood and illicit affairs, returns with a rift between Sophie and Margot. Will you continue?
  • A different world: This sequel to the classic ’80s sitcom follows Deborah Wayne, the daughter of Dwayne Wayne and Whitney Gilbert, who heads to Hillman College for a fresh start, only to discover that escaping her parents’ legacy is harder than she thought.
  • Avatar: The Last Airbender: The live-action version of the popular anime returns, as the group joins forces to battle the fearsome Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).
  • Diplomat: The political drama returns for its fourth season.
  • Night agent: Peter Sutherland will once again risk his life in his pursuit of the truth. This time, he is tasked with finding a treasury agent wanted for murder, which leads to a tangled web involving financial crimes and murderers.
  • East Aden: It’s been more than 70 years since James Dean starred in the film based on John Steinbeck’s novel. Netflix’s episodic reimagining will give a modern twist to the story. The series includes Florence Pugh, Christopher Abbott, Hun Lee, and Martha Plimpton.
  • Lincoln’s lawyer: Season 4 of the legal drama finds Mickey Haller taking on the toughest case of his career, and he must prove he is innocent of murder. It will premiere on February 5.
  • man on fire: Remember the Denzel Washington movie about a former CIA agent fighting for redemption? This new series, starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, is based on AJ Quinnell’s Man on Fire book series, which inspired the film.
  • External banks: The hit coming-of-age drama returns for its fifth and final season.
  • pride and prejudice: Another iconic piece of literature gets the TV series treatment, this time with Jane Austen’s classic novel. Starring Emma Corrin, Olivia Colman and Jack Lowden.
  • Magician: All good things come to an end, and that includes the adventures of Geralt of Rivia. The monster hunting fantasy series will return in 2026 for its fifth and final season.

Greta Gerwig’s long-awaited Narnia adaptation, based on the classic book by C.S. Lewis, is coming to Netflix in December (following an IMAX debut in November).

Other noteworthy titles to look out for include Cillian Murphy’s return to the world of Peaky Blinders in Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man (in theaters March 6 before hitting Netflix on March 20), the third Enola Holmes film, Heartstopper Forever (continuing the story from the popular series) and gritty cop action The Rip (starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon), which will hit Netflix on January 16.

  • Ladies first: Sacha Baron Cohen stars in this comedy about a man who wakes up in a parallel world where women dominate society. Rosamund Pike, Charles Dance and Emily Mortimer also star. The film drops in May.
  • Mosquito pot: Peter Berg’s World War II film focuses on a group of football players-turned-Marines and the legendary game they played before heading out to take revenge on Japan for its attack on Pearl Harbor.
  • Quasimodo: Vincent Cassel stars in this French romance that reimagines the life of the man who inspired Victor Hugo’s famous character, Quasimodo. It is scheduled to premiere in the fall.
  • Remarkably bright creatures: Sally Field plays Tova, an elderly widow, who forms an unlikely friendship with a giant octopus that lives in the aquarium where she works. The film is based on the best-selling book of the same name and will premiere on May 8.
  • Saturn return: Rachel Brosnahan leads the cast of this romantic tale that “explores love, loss, and complex life transitions” during the ten years between college life and adulthood.
  • War machine: Alan Ritchson stars in this sci-fi thriller that follows a group of US Army Rangers who face an otherworldly threat. It will premiere on March 6.

Live events

The classic talent show Star Search is getting a rebrand and coming to Netflix on January 20. The competition series will be broadcast live every Tuesday and Wednesday. Skyscraper Live will air on January 23 and will follow free soloist Alex Honnold as he attempts to climb one of the tallest buildings in the world.

The Six Kings Slam tennis event will premiere via live stream in October, and live sports programming will be supported by a host of Major League Baseball matches (MLB Opening Night on March 25, MLB T-Mobile Home Run Derby on July 13, and MLB Field of Dreams Game on August 13), as well as NFL Christmas Gameday, which will return to Netflix for a third year.
