Meta centralizes access to Facebook, Instagram, AI glasses, and more apps

A Meta representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

General settings for Meta applications will be accessed through your Meta account, where you will be able to manage the email addresses associated with your accounts and set a single password that controls access to all your accounts across the Meta catalog. You can protect this master password with things like passkeys, fingerprint scanners, facial recognition software, or two-factor authentication, in addition to passwords tailored to your physical device.

Your Meta account will serve as a central hub for all your apps and devices.

Likewise, app-specific settings, such as the feature to customize who can see your Facebook posts, are just a Facebook setting and will exist independently in that app and will not be accessible in your Meta account.

You can also choose to opt out of using a Meta account and keep all your logins separate. It’s a customizable experience, and you can use it and manage as many accounts as you want.
