Marshall is bringing back ANC technology to its smaller, wireless on-ear headphones

This makes the new Milton ANC $70 more expensive than the earbuds Marshall Major Vwhich has a similarly compact design and provides over 100 hours of wireless playtime. The Milton ANC still musters an impressive 80 hours of playtime with the ANC turned off, but once you start blocking out the noisy world around you, that drops to over 50 hours.

On-ear headphones typically don’t offer ANC as good as what you’ll get Headphones that completely cover your earsBut Marshall claims the Milton ANC has an updated design with “larger ear pads and softer memory foam” so it’s better at blocking out outside sounds and more comfortable to wear. There’s also a Transparency mode that uses the headphones’ six microphones to amplify the sounds of what’s going on around you.

For those times when you’re in a noisy environment and the ANC doesn’t quite silence all the noise, the Milton ANC has Marshall’s adaptive loudness function. Instead of having to manually adjust the audio file or just turn up the volume, the headphones will automatically adjust the “audio playback tone” so quieter details aren’t drowned out.

Other features include “an all-new driver system tuned to improve bass and treble extension,” spatial audio compatibility; Bluetooth 6.0 with support for codecs including LE Audio, SBC, AAC, LC3 and LDAC; Replaceable battery to extend the life of your headphones; And the ability to track the Milton ANC using Apple and Google’s item tracking networks.
