Find a reason to buy collector’s editions of Mattel products? With the toy drops revealed during Mattel’s Creations Revealed event on Thursday, you might be able to make a case for yourself. Focusing on a fanbase ranging from anime to Barbie to Monster High, the company has shared a new batch of releases. Masters of the Universe fans: Locked out.
You can stack Mattel Bricks to create Eternia’s legendary Castle Grayskull with a new set (pictured above) that’s a first for the toy giant. Step into your screen — or play — with Masters of the Universe Nano figures depicting characters like He-Man, Evil-Lyn, Skeletor, Battle Cat and Teela. The set is available at the Brick Shop starting April 25, and will retail for $65. For fans who want a little extra nostalgia, you can also purchase a Laser Power He-Man light-up figure for $30 to add to your display.
Mattel has had quite a bit of success with the Monster High Skulllector series, with doll collaborations featuring popular movies and TV shows like Coraline, Wednesday, Morticia, Pennywise, and Alien. Skeletor has been added to the group and is quite the villain. Just check out the outfit, high heels and signature smile. Its staff also speaks, but I won’t spoil it by telling you the catchphrase. the price? $65.

If the He-Man series isn’t for you, maybe you’ll join Naruto. Burn up the Hot Wheels track with this Nissan Silvia S15 model featuring the Naruto logo on both sides. First released as part of a partnership between Mattel and the animated franchise, the car is priced at $25.

We’ve seen Barbie designing high-end fashions in the past, and Mattel just unveiled the design of its atelier that takes handcrafted fashion to the next level. Retailing for $342, the new poseable Grand Couture Silkstone Barbie doll stands 14.5 inches tall and wears a ruffled coat (with train) with a sparkly embroidered dress underneath. Drop earrings and pink shoes complete the sophisticated look.
Not to be sidelined at today’s event, Ken was highlighted with the release of his own Uno card set featuring a variety of Kens. Celebrate its 65th anniversary with the $13 set, and you can decide if you have a ken of quad-drag and skip.

Another pop culture moment — and character — celebrated with today’s toy reveal came in the form of WWE star Stone Cold Steve Austin. He’s been immortalized as a Mattel action figure captured when he coined his 3:16 catchphrase 30 years ago, with the addition of the Elite Collection coming equipped with a crown, table and throne.
