Linus Torvalds says the Linux security menu has become “unmanageable” due to AI bug reports


We show that bugs detected by AI are largely unclassified by definition, and that dealing with them on some private list is a waste of time for everyone involved — and only exacerbates this duplication because reporters can’t even see each other’s reports.

AI tools are great, but only if they are actually useful, rather than causing unnecessary pain and pointless work. Feel free to use them, but use them in a way that is productive and leads to a better experience.
