LG’s Micro RGB TVs have big screens, big colors, and big prices


LG has unveiled its first Micro RGB TV range, the MRGB95, which promises better color reproduction than ever before, with models starting at $5,000.

The LG Micro RGB evo is a premium large-screen TV available in 75-inch, 86-inch and 100-inch models. Micro RGB backlighting, made up of miniature red, green and blue LEDs, promises over a billion colors with 100% of the advanced BT.2020 color space. Most TVs use a color filter to produce colors, sometimes with a color filter Quantum dotsbut RGB backlight can produce more tones.

The company says the TV will offer enhanced contrast with the Micro Dimming Ultra system, which has more than 1,000 dimming zones. However, this is still lower than competitors like TCL QM8L With 4000 zones.

The LG Micro RGB evo also includes LG’s custom webOS platform, which includes Voice ID, an AI image/sound processor, and a selection of AI chatbots.
