At CES 2026, Lenovo announced a new ThinkBook Plus Gen 7 Auto Twist laptop. Once conceptThe thin and light 14-inch monitor features a motorized pivot hinge, allowing it to move its screen and point it toward you. It can be controlled manually, but the real trick is to track your head and automatically adapt to your position or stance. It can follow you around part of the room while you give a presentation, and you can tap the closed lid to open it automatically.
Auto Twist will also feature an emoji-like AI companion that reminds me of GERTY from the 2009 sci-fi film moonHe tends to follow you and respond to your actions. I saw a brief demo of it, and it looks cute when it’s waving its little hands or wearing sunglasses. But it was slow to load and seemed awkward to use after the novelty wore off. Auto Twist also supports live language translation, rotating the screen back and forth for each speaker.
As for a traditional laptop, the Auto Twist’s display is a 2880 x 1800/120Hz OLED touchscreen with pen support, weighs 3.09 lbs/1.4 kg, and has an Intel Panther Lake chipset. It is scheduled to launch in June with a starting price of $1,649.
