Since this is a beta, I recommend only downloading it on a device other than your primary one. Since this is not the final version of iOS 18.3, the update may have some bugs and battery life may be short, so it’s best to keep these issues on a secondary device.

Note that RC is not the final version of iOS 18.3, so there may be more improvements coming to your iPhone when iOS 18.3 is released. There is no information about when Apple will release iOS 18.3 to the public yet.

Here’s what iOS 18.3 could bring to your iPhone soon. Just a reminder that only developers and beta testers have it iPhone 15 Pro, Pro Max or iPhone 16 lineup It can access any Apple Intelligence features at the moment. If you have any other iPhone, you won’t be able to access these features.

AI notice summary updates

iOS 18.3 RC makes some tweaks to it Apple Intelligence notification summaries. With this feature, some of your apps can give you summaries of notifications on your lock screen, and the feature is turned on by default in most cases. But according to BBCone of the post titles was inaccurately summarized.

With RC, this feature no longer works with the News app, and there is a disclaimer in the notification summary menu in Settings that reads, “Summaries may contain errors.” Notification summaries are temporarily disabled for apps in the News and Entertainment category, but you can subscribe to those notifications to see them again.

RC also places summaries of AI notifications on your lock screen in italics to distinguish them from other notifications. You can turn off AI notification summaries for specific apps from your lock screen, too, by swiping slightly left on the notification, and tapping Options Then eavesdropping Turn off summaries.

Repeat operations in the calculator

Another thing developers and beta testers can do in iOS 18.3 RC is repeat operations in the Calculator app without entering the equation again. This isn’t new, but Apple removed this ability from the calculator when the company launched it iOS 18 In September.

Now, developers and beta testers can continue to multiply something, for example, just by pressing the equal sign multiple times instead of entering an equation over and over again.
