I’m adding these Bose headphones to my cart for Prime Day (2026)

Boss Quiet Comfort The Ultra (2nd generation) are my favorite pair of headphones. They’re the rare jack of all trades: They’re plush enough to wear all day, made for solid workout headphones, great for focused work like video editing, and immersive enough for when I need to disappear into a few episodes of Love Island. It’s also on sale for Amazon Prime Day, making it an easy recommendation if you’re thinking about upgrading.

Hear me out, though. The original QuietComfort Ultra is also at a discount and is much cheaper. to Price: $269it’s arguably the best value depending on what matters most to you (more on that below). Either way, you can’t really go wrong with either pair, but I’d make a decision sooner rather than later. This is the last day of Prime Day, and these deals will not last.

the Bose QuietComfort Ultra (2nd generation) Maintains the outstanding features for which it was made First generation WIRED FAVORITE: A comfortable fit you can wear for hours, rich sound, and a transparency mode that actually sounds natural. Additionally, the noise cancellation is one of the best features we’ve come across. You can lay the headphones flat to put them into sleep mode, and they will automatically wake up when you put them back. As someone who always forgets to turn off his headphones, I appreciate this feature more than I should.

However, while the Ultra (2nd generation) is on sale at a price $379 ($70 off)I was actually steering most people towards the OG, which was reduced to just $269 ($160 off). You’ll miss out on some upgrades, like lossless audio over USB-C, longer battery life, and a new Cinema mode that enhances dialogue in movies and TV shows. But if premium sound and elite noise cancellation are your priority, the originals offer almost the same experience for much less. This is the deal I will be adding to my cart.
