I never was Someone using a laptop sleeve. I’ve tried several of them over the years, but the laptop compartment inside my bag has always felt secure enough — especially since I don’t commute or travel much for work. But then, I tested a laptop bag that somehow functions as a full bag, and it quickly became my everyday bag.

The case in question is the Bellroy 16-inch laptop case. Unlike most laptop cases, this one doesn’t have a single compartment with just a few small pockets here and there. The main compartment is very large and can handle any laptop you can imagine, including 16-inch gaming laptops.

For a small computer, e.g MacBook Air 13 inchThere is a lot of extra space. So big a space, in fact, that it’s not difficult to fit another device into it. As a laptop reviewer, it’s not uncommon for me to carry two devices at the same time, so while I enjoy the capacity of the 16-inch case, I know there’s a smaller 14-inch option that might suit your needs. But even if you don’t find yourself carrying two full-fledged laptops, you may be in a situation where you want to slip it in tablet Or an accessory such as a mobile phone keyboard or Laptop stand. With this amount of space, almost anything is possible.

My biggest frustration with most laptop cases is that there generally isn’t a large enough pocket for the power adapter. This is especially true if you’re carrying a larger laptop with a larger power unit, e.g MacBook Pro 16 inch. However, with the Bellroy, this is not a problem thanks to the two large pockets in the inner cover, one of which is ideal for such an adapter and cable. I used the other pocket for things like my phone, an external SSD drive, and earphones. The pockets are made of stretchy mesh, making it effective for storing thicker items as well.

Between the two inner pockets are two pen holders, which can hold a pen like a pen Apple Pencil. There’s also a large empty cavity for something like a notebook, Kindle, book, or whatever other items you may be carrying at the time.
