We all know that Disney Plus It is the hub of Disney content, both new and old, alongside Star Wars, Marvel, Pixar, and National Geographic. While it’s comforting to revisit those classics, the platform also releases plenty of new shows and movies every month, including original series and Disney Jr. titles. Nat Geo documentaries and older library content like sitcoms, reality shows, and movies. You can even find live sporting events on your streaming device. (After all, the Walt Disney Company owns ESPN. We should respect the synergy between the companies.)
This May, you can watch the season finale on Disney Plus Daredevil: Born againOne week later, listen to The Punisher: One Last Kill. The Marvel special starring Jon Bernthal is a one-time event.
You can also watch new Bluey miniseries, the season finale of Star Wars: Maul — Shadow Lord (airing May 4th) and live stream several Banana Ball games this month too!

The Punisher: One last kill
The Punisher: One Last Kill is a Marvel special airing May 12 at 9pm ET/6pm PT. It stars Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/The Punisher, a role that first originated in the first Daredevil TV series. Fans will also be able to see Frank’s friend, Curtis Howell (played by Jason R. Moore), appear in One Last Kill. Next, you can look to The Punisher and his violent ways in Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Stanley Tucci is having a big May. The actor appears in the highly anticipated sequel The Devil Wears Prada 2, and the second season of his award-winning travel series Tucci is also premiering in Italy. The National Geographic series will premiere on that channel on Monday, May 11, and will stream the next day on Disney Plus and Hulu. The show, which sees Tucci exploring the food and culture of several regions of the country, will focus this season on several coastal regions and islands, such as Sicily and Sardinia.

With the announcement that Bluey has begun production (and will premiere on August 6, 2027!), actual episodes of the beloved TV series have been put on hold as a result. Fortunately, the folks at Bluey’s production company, Ludo Studios, are giving us a small dose of the Heeler family by dropping a new batch of Bluey shorts this month. A collection of 10 short films ranging from 1 to 3 minutes in length will arrive on Disney Plus on May 20, which should hold us over until the movie.

Sofia the First: Royal Magic
The popular children’s animated show Sofia the First ran from 2013 to 2018, and now it’s being rebooted with Sofia the First: Royal Magic. The new series, which premieres on May 25, sees Princess Sofia attend the Royal Charmswell School of Magic, where she discovers that she is the most magical princess in the world and needs to learn how to master her powers. Most of the original series’ voice cast returns for the reboot, including Ariel Winter as Sofia, as well as Wayne Brady, Tim Gunn, Eric Stonestreet, and Sara Ramirez.

This May, Disney Plus continues to be a direct partner of the Banana Ball League, and you can watch several Banana Ball matches this month.
