God of War Laufey is coming to PS5

Sony ended its big State of Play presentation with a big reveal: Next God of war. The new address is called God of War Luffyand was once again developed by Sony Santa Monica Studio. Right now, the game doesn’t have a date, but it will be coming to PS5 when it launches.

This time, instead of Kratos’ always-angry father, players will take control of Faye/Laufey, as the title suggests. This means that even though the tone of the game seems somewhat similar to the past God of war The gameplay feels very different, with more acrobatic action interspersed with magic, rather than the extreme violence of Kratos. There is also a giant cat with six legs that can fly. And a talking gelatinous cube named Phranque fights alongside you.

The new game represents a paradigm shift in popular video games, which for years have focused on stories about fathers. With Faye starring in the role, it seems like the mothers are finally getting their due.
