The Qrevo Curv 2 flow is also optimized for hard floors. SmartPlan had no trouble automatically distinguishing between tile in my bathroom and laundry room and hardwood in my kitchen. However, it sometimes moved the living room and carpeted room to the sad default mode, instead of carpet, and did not lift the mop pad. Within two weeks, I found Qrevo mopping the carpet once or twice.
The internal routing into the docking station’s dust bag also seems to be optimized for liquids, meaning solids, like dog hair, tend to clump up inside. I forgot to check the disposal for a few days, and it spit out a clump of dog hair the size of a small hamster. It’s been a long time since a Roborock vacuum has done that to me.

The SmartPlan’s unreliability at times made me a bit nervous to just set the Qrevo and forget it by scheduling cleaning time and letting the SmartPlan decide everything, as I’ve done with Roborock vacuums in the past. However, I did like that there is now a dirt detection feature that Roborock calls, confusingly, DirTect. You can also customize and enhance the cleaning process with the pet detection feature. It has 20,000 Pa of suction, which, while not the highest suction power for RoboVax I’ve tested, is high enough for most people. (You’ll likely stain your carpets if you go to a higher level.)
The battery life also isn’t the best I’ve tested, nor is it the quickest to recharge. (For example, both Ecovacs and its more affordable sub-brand Yeedi now have… Models with PowerBoost technology It can fill up to finish the cycle in a matter of minutes.) If you start a full clean at 9:30 a.m., it will take until 3 p.m. to finish, with a three-hour recharge cycle in the middle of the clean. It can be cleaned for about 1.5 hours if things like mopping are required. It takes about 140 minutes to clean 850 square feet.
Perhaps the most important consideration is that the Qrevo Curv 2 Flow is brand new and retails for $1,000. For the past several years, I’ve been saying that $1,500 is roughly the average cost of a brand new robot vacuum, and this is well below that level. He is currently On sale for $850 through February!
Although they’re fun for testing and making videos, I’ll skip the flashier, pricier models for climbing stairs and waving arms for now. This solid, mid-range vacuum is really everything you need, at a price you won’t have to refinance your home to afford.
