F1 2026 live streaming guide: Apple TV Hub, when to watch, and special Apple app offers

Although the season will start this weekend on March 6 with the Australian Grand Prix, safety concerns have been growing amid the war across the Middle East, with Grands Prix in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia scheduled for April. Mohammed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the governing body of Formula 1, the International Automobile Federation, issued a Statement via Instagram Regarding recent events.

“We continue to monitor developments on the ground, and safety and well-being will guide our decisions during upcoming events,” he wrote. Bin Sulayem indicated that the organization will evaluate the upcoming events of Formula 1 and the World Endurance Championship.

When and where to watch the 2026 F1 races

Apple TV subscribers in the US can stream every race this season, but the company plans to share the streaming bonus with other platforms such as NetflixAnd Prime Video and Tubi. Details on additional streaming partners will be available soon, but stay tuned for F1 on Imax, and in the US, Netflix subscribers can stream the Canadian Grand Prix starting May 22.

The races will also be broadcast on F1 TV Pro, a platform included with your Apple TV subscription at no additional cost. You’ll find the full schedule of main event races at the end of this article, but here’s the lineup for March.

  • Round 1: Australian Grand Prix, March 6-8.
  • Round 2: Chinese Grand Prix, March 12-15.
  • Round 3: Japanese Grand Prix, March 27-29.

F1 focus, multiple views, and immersive shots help amplify your viewing

When you open the Apple TV app, you’ll notice a Formula 1 hub, and with the click of a button, you can choose to follow F1 for the latest and upcoming content. Sprints, warm-ups, practices and races are shown on screen and, if it is a live event, the corresponding broadcast dates are provided. Viewers will see that their “Continue Watching” row will automatically update with upcoming events.

There’s also a curated row dedicated to each Grand Prix round, so you can watch previous content or prepare for what’s next in the season. This includes highlights and summaries of each session. For viewers enjoying Sky Sports F1 broadcasts from the UK, there is a row of events scheduled in this Apple TV hub. Other content in this section includes a series of behind-the-scenes videos.

While you’re watching a live race, you can choose from 30 different broadcast feeds, including the main stream, driver data, driver tracker or in-car driver cameras. Yes, you can stream live and feel like you’re in the seat with Hamilton, Norris or Leclerc.

Multiview has become a standard in live sports streaming, and Apple TV lets you watch up to four screens simultaneously. The app has multiple pre-defined display sections to choose from, but you can customize it by adding a screen if desired. For example, if you choose Team Mercedes multi-view, it will display three screens – including the driver’s radio audio – and you can choose to add another feed. Fans are watching on Apple Vision Pro The headset will have up to five screens in a multi-display experience.

F1 action on Apple Sports, Apple Maps, Apple Music and more

Like other major sports, F1 stats and live updates will be on the Apple Sports app for the entire season. Fans can access live races on Apple TV directly from Apple Sports. If you use Apple News, a flood of F1 coverage will arrive in the app with a dedicated feed. Later this season, Apple News is adding live highlights for those who want to stay tuned to the race as they read related stories.

Starting with the Australian Grand Prix, Apple Maps offers digital guides to this season’s race tracks and locales. Tap the app to take a tour of each track, and if you’re attending a Formula 1 race in person, find location information for entrance gates, restrooms and first aid sites. The maps will also highlight the teams’ garages, pit building, starting grid and finish line, as well as landmarks in Formula 1 host cities, such as the Melbourne Sports and Aquatics Centre. Select races will feature 3D map versions of the tracks and more.

Fans who prefer audio can listen to live commentary which will be streamed for free on Apple Music, which provides the F1 Hub. As well as keeping up with the races, you can scroll through more content such as DJ mixes, drivers’ playlists or a collection of F1 audio files.
