Don’t call it Book 4, but the next fourth wing book has a name and release date

While we do not get any new details about… TV show commissioned by Prime VideoThe next book in the Empyrean series is called Threshing Day, author Rebecca Yaros announced Wednesday. Although it doesn’t continue the story after the events of Iron Flame, it promises to scratch the dragon’s itch when it drops on September 29.

If you’ve read any of the books in the Empyrean series, you’re familiar with the concept of a lesson day. It is the most important day of the future Dragon Rider’s life, and it is also the most dangerous. This new book promises to be an anthology of 13 stories from the perspective of students who are not Violet Sorengel, but it includes at least one story by a rider she knows better than most. Xaden’s Threshing will be one of the 13 stories, and I’m sure it will be a completely calm and normal experience for everyone.

Yarros has provided few details surrounding the next book, other than that she will include 16 full-color pieces of art in the deluxe edition of the book and will be something to keep readers busy while she works on the next story in the series.
