DJI’s new entry-level Lito Series drones start at less than $400

Both models come with DJI’s RC-N3 screenless controller that uses a smartphone as a display, but you can’t fly either drone with your phone like you can with DJI Neo. Lito 1 and X1 are also compatible with the variant DJI controllers including RC 2 Which is included as part of the X1’s €579 Fly More package which also adds extra batteries.

The lack of permanent prop guards makes the Lito 1 and X1 more portable when folded, but it also means the drones are primarily designed for outdoor flying. Its top speed is about 27 mph, which can be increased to 40 mph. Both feature sensors at the top and bottom to help them autonomously avoid obstacles around them while flying, but the X1 adds a LIDAR sensor up front for more accuracy, especially when flying in low-light conditions.

The Lito Further differentiating the more expensive Lito X1 is 42GB of onboard storage, while the Lito 1 is limited to microSD cards.
