Deezer is launching an AI music detector for other streaming services

“No other company has followed in our footsteps yet, so we decided to make it possible for everyone to check whether their playlists include synthetic music, regardless of the streaming platform they use,” Alexis Lanternier, CEO of Deezer, said in a press release. So, since no one took up their offer to license its AI detection technology, Deezer is bringing this technology directly to the masses.

The way it works is you visit Deezer’s AI music detector Location, choose your streaming service, and give Deezer permission to access it. The tool is compatible with 20 different platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, and YouTube Music. Deezer will then import your playlists, apparently using set my music, Which the company actually uses to import your library if you’re switching from a competitor like Spotify. Deezer will then scan the results for AI content, alert you to any results, and give you the option to share the results.
