The Bureau provides less supervision of private non-profit organizations such as Stanford and profit schools such as the University of Phoenix, mainly because they provide degrees and are under the scope of independent accreditation bodies that have their strict standards. Other private schools, such as Goodwill Career Services programs, are also released from Bureau’s supervision as they charge low training or because the classes are short and do not receive a degree or certificate.
